Heart FM launches Heart Cape Town Music Festival

Heart FM is set to host one of the biggest music festivals in the Western Cape on 10 February 2018 at the Newlands Cricket Stadium. The Heart Cape Town Music Festival will see 22 top South African acts on one stage including hip-hop superstar AKA and the legendary Mango Groove to name but a few.

The family friendly event aims to attract a diverse audience with music spanning across genre’s to appeal to both the young and young at heart.  Heart FM Managing Director Renee Redelinghuys explains. “Putting on this multi-million rand event for the people of Cape Town is our way of saying thank you for making us the biggest radio station in the Western Cape*.”

Festival Directors Denver Apollus and Marlo Paulse are confident that the Heart Cape Town Music Festival will be an event second to none. Apollus adds, “We are mindful of the challenges previous concerts at Newlands Cricket Ground has faced and we are applying a different model in the site layout for the event.  Asked about the event, Paulse believes it is something unique to offer Heart FM’s listeners. “Apart from the affordability we see the Heart Cape Town Music Festival as an opportunity to bring Cape Town to life all on one stage.”

Confirmed artists to perform on the day include: Jimmy Nevis, Youngsta CPT, Mark Alex, Prime Circle, Craig Lucas, AKA, Casper Nyovest, Sketchy Bongo, Tresor, Dr Victor and the Rasta Rebels, Mango Groove, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Nasty C, Emo Adams, Sasha Lee, Alistair Izobell , Salome, Kurt Darren, Chad Saaiman, Jarrad Ricketts and Airborne.
