We received a call from the Department of Health after yesterday’s show asking for an opportunity to clarify the difference between isolation and quarantine, also, the prescribed guidelines for each.
The department of health’s Dr. Ebrahim Kriel and Dr. Mishal Pandie are two doctors working in the field of HIV, TB and STI management for the Southern and Western Substructures. Since the first case in the Western Cape in March, they have been working extensively in the response to Covid-19 managing projects such as the community screening and testing, hotspot strategies and so on.
