Western Cape Health MEC, Dr Nomafrench Mbombo is appealing to people aged 60 and older, to register for the Covid-19 Phase 2 vaccination.
On Monday, Mbombo will continue with a registration drive at an Old Age Home in Delft.
Over the weekend, she visited Gugulethu.
The provincial government hopes to vaccinate more than 700 000 people from the 17th of May until June 2021.
More than 180 000 people registered so far in the Western Cape.
The government has also launched a campaign, to encourage more people to register.
Mbombo said that she’s concerned with the low number of elderly who have registered.
