Western Cape Education MEC , Debbie Schäfer says schools are ready to receive learners back this morning.
A number of learners will return to classrooms for the start of the academic year.
The same safety protocols that were implemented in 2020 will remain in place this year.
This include grades will still need to rotate timetables, except the matriculants.
Schäfer has urged schools experiencing problems to contact district offices immediately.
She added that the safety of staff and learners remains their priority
