The Western Cape Department of health hopes to administer around 150,000 vaccine doses this week.
Government has ramped up the rollout over the past weeks.
Last week, the health department has vaccinated nearly 150,000 people.
This brings the number of vaccines administered in the province to more than 700,000.
The department says more than 200 vaccines sites will be operational this week.
Spokesperson Mark van der Heever said, “On Friday, 16 July, we received 58 500 vaccines. These vaccines, along with the remaining doses from last week, will enable us to have the capacity to administer 30 000 vaccinations per day and 150 000 for the week. The public can again expect approximately 200 active public health vaccination sites across the province , this excludes the outreaches services”.
