Here’s a not so well known holiday, that you might not have heard of – National Eat What You Like Day.

Everyday is worthy of a celebration, so why not during lockdown, grab a friend or your family members who are in lockdown with you and prepare something REALLY good to eat! We know that you’re trying your best to stay healthy during this time as much as possible, but restricting yourself from your favourite¬†foods can also be super difficult. That is why, today, you should indulge in what you like, even if its only for one day!

This day encourages people to treat themselves by giving in to their sweet tooth, carb-loading without the guilt.

We asked a few Capetonians what they would be indulging in today and heres the list of food:

  3. Cheese Bread with extra butter
  4. Sweets
  5. Pasta
  6. Curry and Roti
  7. Chip Rolls
  8. Chocolates

Change up your activities just for today:

Have breakfast for dinner

Make some pancakes or flapjacks and drizzle with honey or golden syrup, with a side portion of bacon and eggs for dinner!

Get the kids involved

Ask what your kids would like for dinner and make that instead. Build a tent in the backyard or simply sit on a blanket on the grass and have dinner in a different location!
