The Western Cape’s Covid-19 cases have surpassed the 50,000 mark.

Premier Alan Winde confirmed that there’re 50,067 confirmed cases in the province.

The Western Cape remains the epicentre of the virus, but only has 13,109 active cases

This means that more than 35,500 people have beaten the virus.

Sadly, 1,399 people have succumbed to Covid-19 in the Western Cape.

Nationally, South Africa’s confirmed cases stand at 97, 302, and country’s death toll is at 1,930.
