The Western Cape has recorded 7 more covid19 related deaths, bringing the total to 117.
This was confirmed by Premier Alan Winde, on Wednesday evening.
Among those who died is the 47 year old e-NCA cameraman, Lungile Tom.
Winde is currently in self-isolation after being in contact with Tom in the past week, during an interview.
There’re 6, 713 confirmed coronavirus cases in province, and 1,950 people recovered from the disease.
This indicates that the province 4,646 active cases .
Meanwhile a total of 12,074 confirmed cases have registered in the country, with 4,745 recoveries and 219 deaths.
