The Western Cape Education Department has advised school management teams, including principals to not go back to school on Monday.

In April Basic Education Minister Angie Motskekga, said all management teams must report back to work.

The members were expected to oversee the cleaning of schools and receive hygiene and safety packs.

It’s understood that 8 provincial education departments except Gauteng, said the teams should not come to work.

The spokesperson, Bronagh Casey, says the teams should wait for now.

” We have delayed returning to schools until Wednesday the 13th May 2020, or getting more clarity from national department”.

Cases added where possible the teams should be on stand-by to receive the procured materials.
