
The university’s executive held a meeting this morning to discuss the plan of action in light of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s emergency measures announced last night.
Universities across South Africa have taken varying positions on their immediate plans to curb the spread of the Coronavirus.
The University of Cape Town and Wits University are among the institutions that have suspended all classes with immediate effect.
Those universities also have confirmed cases of COVID-19.
