South African has recorded 7 more covid19 related deaths bringing the country’s death toll now to 138.

Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize released a statement on Monday.

Mkhize said six people died in Western Cape, and the seventh death was recorded in KwaZulu Natal.

The Western Cape has the highest number of deaths with 64, and it’s followed by KwaZulu Natal, with 35.

The number of infections in the country has increased by 437, bringing the confirmed cases total to 7,220.

The department said that 2,746 people who suffered from the coronavirus have recovered, which means the actual number of people fighting the disease is 4,474.
