The number of Covid-19 infections in South Africa has increased to 22,583.

According to the Health Minister, Dr Zweli Mkhize, a total of 11.110 people have recovered, and 429 deaths have been registered.

This mean there’re 11,054 active cases in the country.

The Western Cape remains the epicentre of the coronavirus outbreak.

There’re total of 6,719 active cases of Covid-19 in the province.

A total of 28 Cuban doctors will be deployed across the Cape Town Metro this week, to assist in fighting the pandemic.
