The number of active Covid-19 cases in the Western Cape has increased by 10% as of Tuesday.
This brings the total number to 23 285 cases, and one death has been reported in the province.
On Monday, the Cape officially entered the fourth wave.
The department of health says there’re 555 covid patients in hospital, with 47 being treated in ICU.
Also yesterday more than 14,000 vaccinations have been administered.
