The Ladles of Love sarmie drive in the Deep South have collected a large amount of food which has been distributed to feeding schemes in Masi and Ocean View.
Ladles of Love is an extensive community project dedicated to feeding hungry people. Their soup kitchens feed the homeless of Cape Town every week.
Their other projects provide food to struggling schools, students and communities.
They have run into a few issues though, as some stores around the area have been closed due to the Virus and there simply just wasn’t enough food. The result is they’ve had to turn people away who desperately needed a meal at times, something they want never to happen again.
