The Health Department says 190 more people have died in South Africa, due to Covid-19.
KwaZulu Natal recorded the most of the new fatalities with 62.
It’s followed by Gauteng with 55, the Western Cape with 49, North West with 13 and the Eastern Cape with 11.
The national death toll now stands at 7,322.
The department says 7,096 new infections were confirmed in the past 24 hour period.
The country’s cumulative number of confirmed case now stands at 459 761.
Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize says 287 313 recoveries have been recorded.
This means that the country has 165 191 active cases.
Meanwhile the Western Cape has 11,876 active cases and 2,948 people have died.
