South Africa has seen a slight decrease in the number of new Covid-19 cases, with over 9,000 cases reported in the last 24 hours.

This brings the country’s cumulative number of cases confirmed to over 1.3 million.

A further 344 Covid-19 related deaths have been reported, with 91 recorded in KwaZulu-Natal, 88 in the Western Cape,  66 in the Eastern Cape, 63 in Gauteng, 13 in the Northern Cape, 12 in Mpumalanga, and 11 in the Free State.

This brings the national death toll to 37, 449 death.

Meanwhile, the Western Cape has 36,920 active cases and 9,199 people have died.
