
South Africa has recorded 92 more covid-19 related deaths, bringing the death toll to 2,749.
Of the new fatalities, 37 were confirmed in the Western Cape, 28 in Gauteng, 17 in the Eastern Cape, and 10 in KwaZulu Natal.
The country has registered a daily new record of infections, after 2,749 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
Currently the cumulative number of confirmed cases stand at 159 333.
The Health Department said 76,025 people have recovered from the pandemic.
This means that the country has 80,559 active cases.
