Many households have been financially crippled by the lockdown. There are multiple relief organisations who have been working tirelessly to feed hungry residents in the Mother City.
One such initiative is ‘Extreme Soupathon’ led by Wynand du Plessis, owner of ‘Extreem Kwizeen’, Evan Coosner, well known chef and celebrity Chef, Pete Goffe-Wood.
Together with other chefs, they have produced about 40,000 cups of soup per week since the beginning of lockdown.
