Police Minister, Bheki Cele, says SAPS cannot speculate the motive of the deadly shootings in the Endlovini Informal Settlement, earlier this week. Five people – including a woman – were gunned down at the settlement in Khayelitsha on Monday. A preliminary investigation indicates that gunmen first shot and killed the woman in her home.
They then apparently moved to another shack where they murdered her partner and three other men. Cele says the investigators are looking into all possible leads.
“The question of … fighting over terrain of drugs keeps coming up. But it will be folly for me to put that, before I get the proper information.”
