Ongoing gang violence in the Bonteheuwel and Bishop Lavis areas has claimed the lives of a man and his 2 year-old son.
According to the police, Moegamat Johnson was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting on the corner of Tolbos and Bonteheuwel avenue on Wednesday .
Johnson’s 2 year old son, Zhario, was critically wounded in the shooting.
He sadly passed away in hospital on Thursday morning.
The police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk said that the detectives are hunting down the perpetrators.
Meanwhile, Bonteheuwel ward councillor, Angus McKenzie, has urged the police to make finding those responsible a priority.
