Western Cape Education MEC Debbie Schäfer says the Wednesday’s opening session of the 2021 Matric exams went smoothly.
Education authorities say there were no major incidents reported at any exam venue in the province. Schäfer says this is a good start.
“The exam administration went according to plan for over 63 000 learners writing English Paper 1. There were also no protests and disruptions reported, for which I am extremely grateful, and I urge the residents of the province to continue to support our Matric’s throughout their exams”.
