The last time we spoke to Marc was on Day 7 of the lockdown after that horrible April fools joke claiming Marc Lottering is dead.
This morning we thought we’d pick his brain about the future of theatre under the new normal. He and the cast of Aunty Merle would have been touring the country right now, but alas. How will theatre survive? Drive-in theatre? All online?
Theatre needs to really look reality in the face and say, what now? Marc is old school, loves being on a stage, but is now questioning whether online streaming is the way to go for shows, for a very very long time.
