The 39-year-old Zambian-born business owner and gender-lens investor believes many people become paralysed when they overthink the ‘how’, to the point where they simply cannot progress their ideas forward.Lelemba Phiri is an award winning educator, writer, keynote speaker and gender-lens angel investor. She is the Principal at the Africa Trust Group that takes a holistic approach to investing in women by investing in both the woman entrepreneur and the enterprise; and facilitating their access to markets and critical business tools. She is also a shareholder (and the current board chair) for Zoona Zambia, an African mobile payments business that provides financial services where they are needed most and a shareholder at Africa Trust Academy a coaching and consulting company focused on leadership and entrepreneurship development and financial literacy. Lelemba is passionate about women leadership and entrepreneurship development in Africa and is committed to advancing gender equality and empowerment.

Education
Lelemba has a Masters of Commerce in Development Finance (with distinction) from the Graduate School of Business (University of Cape Town) and is a Chartered Accountant (FCCA, FZICA). She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting (Hon) from the Oxford Brookes University (UK). Lelemba has in addition received extensive personal and business development training from various world renowned experts such as Dr John Demartini, Roger Hamilton and Robert Kiyosaki including training on organizational effectiveness from communication and staff development experts Vital Smarts.
