Why do we love pancakes so much? Well because its absolutely delicious and such a treat, we can also add so many delicious ingredients! From blueberries to sugar and cinnamon, skies the limit! If your family or flat mates can never agree on what to cook then don’t worry, there’s a pancake combo for everyone. Sweet or savoury? Chocolate vs. lemon? Pancakes can be personalised to suit even the fussiest of eater.
You can top it with ANYTHING
Nutella, banana, syrup or just the classic lemon and sugar, there is no limit to the sheer joy that is the Pancake.
Well you are getting plenty of protein and calcium in just one serving, right?!
You can eat them in SO MANY different ways
Rolled, flat or cut into strips; standing up, sitting down or even in bed the choice is yours!
- One cup of flour
- Two tablespoons of sugar
- Two teaspoons of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 cup of milk
- 2 tablespoons of melted butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- Toppings – fresh fruit, chocolate syrup, honey, fresh cream, sprinkles
In a small bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and put it one side

In a medium bowl, whisk together milk, butter and egg. Add dry ingredients to milk mixture; whisk everything together

Heat a large pan over medium heat. Add some oil to the pan
- Step 4
For each pancake, spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons of batter onto the pan, using the back of the spoon to spread the batter
Cook until surface of pancakes have some bubbles. Flip carefully with a spatula and cook until browned. Transfer to a baking sheet or platter and add as many toppings as you like
