Have you ever met someone that refuses to drink water, no matter what? Regular folks who risk severe dehydration (and nasty orange pee) to avoid H20 at all costs. Maybe you are that person that person? Have a look at the health risks that could come your way if you don’t consume H2O regularly.
Dehydration
Our bodies are made up of about 60% water. So it’s not a bad idea to gulp water on the regular to avoid dehydration. Dehydration is a lack of fluids. More so a lack of water.
Illness
Without water, you are more prone to sickness and infections as your body doesn’t have enough water to “cleanse” the human body.
Gaining weight
Without water you could gain weight. This results in water retention which can then result in weight being added. When you don’t drink water, your body holds every drop it has to hydrate and avoid dehydration.
Energy levels dropping
Water is vital to keep boosting energy. Even the slightest bit of dehydration can cause a drop in your energy levels. We think its time to switch the caffeine with water instead.
Stroke risks are higher
Not drinking water can take longer to recover from a stroke.
Your skin
Drinking water helps to plump your skin. Not drinking water will do the exact opposite. Not drinking water can cause your collagen (really good protein in your skin) to crack and bind together, causing fine lines and wrinkles to get more visible. Your skin will could also get drier.
Toilet troubles
Despite the bright orange and yellow urine, there are other problems that could be faced too. Have a glass of water yet?
Kidneys not functioning
Water is used to transport toxins in the blood through the kidneys – without it, your kidneys could start to pack up with toxins, kidney stones and other things.
According to Heathline its recommended that we drink 8 glasses of water a day. How many glasses are you on for the day?
