Known mainly for its excellent coffee and eye-catching decor, this downtown joint also offers a number of delicious breakfasts – for sit-down meetings or on-the-go bites – including Breakfast Burrito Tostada (vegan), Eggs Benedict, French toast, smashed avo on toast, and loads more.

This corner bakery on Bree Street is the go-to spot for hipsters and innercity office workers looking for artisanal bread, buttery croissants, out-of-this-world pies and zingy sandwiches. Pretty much every breakfast item and you’ll have a hard time choosing, its all SO DELICIOUS!

Starlings Cafe

Hidden behind a hedge on Belvedere Road in Claremont, this warm and hospitable café is housed in a Victorian building, complete with high ceilings and wooden floors. A fireplace inside keeps diners warm and toasty in winter; in summer sit outside in the quaint garden for beautiful mountain views. Most of the menu items come from small artisanal suppliers, keeping everything ethical, fresh and delicious.
