A Golden Arrow bus has been destroyed in the ongoing protests in the Mfuleni area.
The bus company confirmed that the incident happened just after 06h00 on Wednesday.
Golden Arrow spokesperson Bronwyn Dyke-Beyer says the bus was ambushed by unknown perpetrators and petrol-bombed.
“The bus is completely gutted. No passengers were onboard at the time, but our driver is suffering from shock. This act of brazen violence cannot be tolerated, and would urge anybody with information to please come forward”.
