Amidst the COVID-19 breakout, Ryan speaks to one of Groote Schuur’s front line doctors Dr. Wasserman, and is part of the team treating patients at the testing centre.
Here are some of the questions that Ryan asked…
1. Dr. Wasserman, you’re currently in the thick of things now. You’re witnessing the transmission of this disease first hand. What’s the biggest difference between the normal flu and Covid-19, specifically with the transmission rate?
2. 12 815 covid-19 tests have been done in SA so far, 12 413 of them turned out negative. What has the testing centre been like these past couple of weeks, how are they managing?
3. With 402 confirm patients and no deaths, how are our positive patients faring?
4. What precautions have been put in place to ensure you guys stay safe?
5. General word of thanks
