South Africa is into Day 14 of the nationwide lockdown, and sadly there’s been a spike in the number of COVID-19 related deaths.
The Health Ministry confirmed last night that another five lives have been claimed by the coronavirus.
The overall number of positive cases now sits at 1 845, with the death toll at 18.
In the Western Cape, 3 more coronavirus patients have had to be admitted to hospital.
The provincial government has announced that 31 of the now 510 positive patients have been hospitalised.
The cape’s death toll is still at 3.
