The number of coronavirus infections in South Africa, has increased to 25,937.
The National Department of Health, issued a statement stating that the number has spiked by 1,673 in the past 24 hours.
Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize confirmed that a total 13, 451 recoveries have been registered, and 552 people have died due to the pandemic.
This illustrates to 11,934 active cases in the country.
The Western Cape remains the province with the highest infections and deaths.
Currently there’re 7,998 active case and 391 people have died so far.
