Schools have been given guidelines on cleaning, as well as what to do when there is a positive case of Covid-19 in a school. For the protection of the children and the teachers, these guidelines MUST be followed.

In the Western Cape, there have been 55 schools who have been affected by cases of Covid-19. In Gauteng, 30 schools have reported cases.

On Friday, 11 schools within The Western Cape were closed due to Covid-19 concerns.

The Western Cape Education Department (WCED), confirmed this information on Monday, they manage 1 509 schools across the province.
