Health minister Zweli Mkhize says the latest casualty is a 57-year-old man from the Western Cape.
The number of confirmed cases has increased by 31, bringing the total to one-thousand-686.
Worldwide, more than one-point-27-million people have been infected by Covid-19 and just under 70-thousand-400 deaths have been recorded.
