Over the past two week’s we’ve ask you to tell us about worthy organisations serving our youth in various communities and we’ve received so many. Usually at this time, we shut down our main studios, jump in our vehicles and hit the roads around the Western Cape to connect with communities and people in those communities who make a meaningful difference. In saying this, we received an email from a listener who nominated Megan Steenkamp and sent us this message:-
“Megan is the founder of PAC 19 in summer greens, she actually lives in summer greens, and ever since Corvid 19, the reality of the poverty in this area has surfaced. Megan has been feeding the homeless, many young children and parents that live in this area. She has a heart of gold. She really needs support, and I believe she deserves this. Summer Greens is located in Milnerton Cape Town, and the HUNGER IS REAL. I truly believe she deserves all the help and support she needs, I have known her for ages and this has truly fulfilled every purpose, I pray that this will get to her and manifest in feeding the community.:”
We contacted our friends from Spar Western Cape to see if they could help Megan. They’ve been so giving towards many communities, and have offered a R10 000 Spar voucher to help Megan care for these homeless people.
