The Cape Town Future Energy Festival is a virtual community festival showcasing innovative and cost-effective household solutions for energy use and sustainable living. The festival will deliver fun, family-friendly virtual events in the form of edutainment.
First on the bill is the Cape Town Future Energy Festival’s virtual cooking competition, Watt’s in the Pot? This is a cooking competition for young and old that was launched in late May. Cape Town residents (older than 18yrs) are invited to share their energy efficient and delicious recipes. The judges will select the 6 best recipes and these finalists will be invited to cook their masterpieces in an industrial kitchen during a live online cook-off. Our MC Jarrad Rickets and celebrity judges will be taking the audience through the process while sharing smart energy cooking tips. Prizes are available for the finalists and the winners.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and challenges, it is important that residents are well informed about some of the practical ways in which they can use their resources efficiently. The festival will be hosted on social media platforms and is targeted at all residents across Cape Town.
