British American Tobacco South Africa has announced that it has started legal action to challenge the government’s decision about the ban of cigarettes. No formal response has been received from the government as yet and this has taken a HUGE knock to the company and staff alike. The government have still not given permission to sell cigarettes in the country and smokers are losing their minds, having to buy foreign cigarettes for ridiculous prices.

When the country moves to level 3, alcohol sales will be open to the public but cigarettes remain banned. The country is left confused as to how this makes any sense.

What will the outcome be? Stay tuned to the media, for the next updates.
