A couple of days ago we had a conversation about screenings upon entering businesses. The workplace protocols regarding health and safety due to Covid-19 is that all individuals entering a place of work must be screened. This includes answering several health related questions pertaining to known symptoms linked to the virus. This also includes a temperature screening with a hand-held thermometer device.
There have been videos of bogus knock-off devices being sold and used giving random temperature readings and/or the incorrect use of devices – which has raised many concerns.
We received an email from a reputable company, willing to speak to us about electronic thermometers, the science behind it and best practices, especially during this health crisis.
