
A total of 396 people have died in South Africa due to Covid-19, on Tuesday, bringing the national death toll to 46,869.
Limpopo recorded the most of the new deaths with 118.
It’s followed by Kwa-Zulu Natal with 85, Gauteng 81, the Western Cape 65, the Eastern Cape 20, Mpumalanga 18, the Free State 6, and the Northern Cape 3.
A total of 1,742 new cases were confirmed over the same period across the country.
The number of confirmed cumulative cases stand at 1 479 253.
The Health Department says 1 367 247 people have recovered from the virus, which translate to recovery rate of 92%.
