A Parow shop owner has been arrested for selling cigarettes on Monday.
His stock of cigarettes, valued at close to R 90,000 was also seized.
Cape Town’s Law Enforcement officers were conducting a patrol when they stopped a man cycling.
He admitted to buying three packets of cigarettes, and led them to the shop, where the owner was taken into custody.
The cyclist was fined R 1,000 for breaking lockdown regulations.
The city’s Wayne Dyason, says 1,475 packets of cigarettes were found on the premises to the value of R87, 325.
