The National Department of Health says 52 more people have died from coronavirus, bringing the South Africa’s death toll to 481.
The Western Cape remains the province with the highest number with 330.
“We wish to express our condolences to the loved ones of the deceased and thank the health care workers who treated these patients”
Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize said that the number of cases has increase to 23,615, with 11,917 recoveries.
This indicates that there’re 11,217 active cases in the country.
Mkhize said that nearly 600,000 tests have been conducted so far.
