The woman who stole three-day-old, Zephany Nurse, will today face a parole board hearing.
Lavona Solomons stole the then-newborn from her mother’s bedside at Groote Schuur Hospital, back in 1997.
Solomons and her husband then raised the child as their own for 17 years.
But in 2015, the then teenager’s identity was revealed — after a chance encounter with her biological sister at Zwaanswyk High School.
Solomons is currently serving a ten-year prison sentence, after being convicted on charges including kidnapping and fraud.
