Western Cape police detectives are investigating yet another group killing in Cape Town.

And yet again, it’s in Khayelitsha.

Four people were gunned down at a Supermarket in Site B on Tuesday.

It’s understood that gunmen entered the shop and opened fire on the victims.

Three died on the scene, while a fourth person died later at hospital.

Provincial police spokesperson Brigadier Novela Potelwa says the motive for the incident is yet to be determined.

“Reports from the scene indicate that unknown gunmen entered the supermarket in R588 Sulani Drive, Site B and fired several shots at 19:00. Organised crime detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting incident. The motive for the incident is yet to be determined. Anyone with information that could assist the police investigation is urged to contact the police on 08600 10111”.

This is the second group killing in less than a week.

On Sunday, three people including a woman were shot and killed in Gugulethu.
