DID YOU HEAR? While a taxi strike in Cape Town has been averted, thousands of South African public servants are expected to down tools this coming Monday morning.

Wage talks with the government are going nowhere.

Last month; a three-year wage deal was signed in principle between government and public servants – but it’s not yet come into effect after some unions pulled out of the agreement.

Government is offering between 6 and 7% increases.

The Public Servants Association has confirmed that the strike will be big; as they have about 240 000 members.
