The Western Cape Government is seemingly satisfied with the work of the Taxi Task Team.
The same cannot be said for taxi mother body – Santaco – though.
The forum reconvened last week.
The task team – which includes the Western Cape Mobility Department, City of Cape Town and Santaco – aims to resolve issues facing the taxi industry.
Santaco’s unhappy with the slow space – at which the task team is dealing with various issues.
Mobility MEC Issac Sileku – says their intension IS to resolve matters quickly – but due process MUST be followed – first.
He adds that there are plans – to expand the scope of this task team.
