With Minister Pemmy Majodina giving the assurance that upgrade work to the Clanwilliam Dam will be completed on time, provincial authorities say they’ll be holding her to that promise.

On the sidelines of the Opening of Parliament Address, Majodina told Heart FM News that work to raise the dam wall by a further 13-metres, will be completed by the April 2027 deadline.

The project has been beset by years of delays and massive overrun costs, and the region has failed to see the promised economic benefits.
