Plans are in place to compensate those left injured in Tuesday’s train derailment at the Dal Josafat Train Station, in Paarl.

At least 25 people are recovering from various injuries.

The train had been travelling from Cape Town to Wellington at the time of the crash.

An investigation looking into the cause of the incident is currently underway.

PRASA CEO Hishaam Emeran says the well-being of passengers is a top priority.
