An offer of a 7% salary increase is on the table.

Workers aren’t budging on 8%.

Sactwu warns that if further talks go nowhere, they’ll bring the local clothing sector to a halt.

About 10 000 workers in the footwear manufacturing industry have been on strike for two weeks already.
