There has been another attack on police officers.
Two off-duty constables were shot and wounded in Ikwezi Park, in Khayelitsha on Friday night while they were making their way home.
They were taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The police spokesperson Captain FC Van Wyk says no arrests have yet been made.
“The assistance of the Khayelitsha community is sought in identifying and locating the unknown suspects who attacked the two police constables in Khayelitsha on Friday. The 72 hour Activation Plan has been ordered for the arrest of the suspects. Detectives are hard at work searching for the perpetrators of this shooting incident”.
