Western Cape have launched an investigation following another mass killing in Khayelitsha, Cape Town.

Two men were shot and killed, while two other men and a woman wounded in Mandela Park, Harare.

Authorities were called to the scene at about eleven in the evening, where they found the victims on Friday night.

This is a second mass killing in the Harare area in space of a week.

On Monday evening the 4th of April, three people were gunned down in Simon Nxala Street, and two others injured.

Provincial police spokesperson, Sergeant Wesley Twigg says the motive of the Friday’s shooting is unknown at this moment.

“The circumstances surrounding a shooting incident Friday night at about 23:10 in Mandela Park, Harare, Khayelitsha, where two males 30 and 37 were shot and fatally wounded and a 30-year-old female and two males 28 and 30 shot and wounded are under investigation. Cases of murder and attempted murder were opened for investigation. The suspects fled the scene and are yet to be arrested.
