Two people have died after being attacked by dogs at a farm in Phillipi over the weekend.
Community members were left outraged by the incident, and allegedly vandalized a farm dwelling — which is believed to be the area where the dogs came from.
The police’s Frederick Van Wyk says they’re investigating the matter.
“The circumstances surrounding the death inquests are under police investigation. The dogs were taken away from the scene by the SPCA. Public Order Policing were summoned to the farm where the incident occurred to control riotous community members after the incident was reported.”
Meanwhile, police are also investigating a case of murder in Belhar.
A man named Craig Muller was shot and killed along Erica Drive, over the weekend.
According to police, the motive for the attack is unknown and no arrests have been made yet.
