Two DA Mayco members in the George Municipality,have resigned from the party.
The ward councillors have since joined the Patriotic Alliance.
By elections will now take place, following their resignation.

Councillors jumping ship to other political parties, is nothing new.
We’re likely to see more of it, in the run up to next year’s elections
George Mayor, Jackie von Brandis, says the status quo, is not expected to change substantially.
She adds that service delivery continues as though each year is a Local Government Election.
Whether this is the case, will be tested when the electorate, heads to the polls next year
